Using blogging to build supporter engagement

This afternoon, we took part in a Charity Comms seminar, and presented on how charities can use blogs to engage supporters. We gave some tips on a strategy, getting started, and how to keep going, as well as some examples of great charity blogs.

You can see the presentation below:

One other presentation was from Sara Ashton, Web and new media manager of Amnesty UK, who told the story of how they have successfully used various social media in their different campaigns. Kevin Baughen, of Bottom Line Ideas, finished the afternoon with a great session on using tiered levels of communications to engage people yet keep the overall message consistent and memorable.

We’ll post the other presentations if and when they are shared online, they are certainly worth checking out.
